The climate of Kazakhstan can be defined as dry and continental. Winters here are very cold and with little snow, while summers are usually very hot. However, weather conditions vary depending on the region of the country and its territorial features. In general, the country has low humidity. The average annual amount of atmospheric precipitation is insignificant (approximately 100-500 mm per year) and falls mostly in spring and early summer.
The Kazakh climate is also characterized by significant temperature ranges. In desert and steppe zones, the climate is rather severe. Winters are often accompanied by snowstorms, and dust storms sometimes occur in summer.
