The Kazak Eli monument is located in the center of the capital of Kazakhstan on Independence Square.
It is a new monument in Astana. Nearby Palace of Independence, Khazret Sultan Mosque, Museum of History of Kazakhstan and Palace of Peace and Reconciliation are located.
The monument is designed in the form of a snow white marble column standing on a quadrangular foundation. The sacred bird Samruk is located at the top symbolizing the country’s aspiration for sustainable development and progress. The base of the monument is decorated with bas-reliefs describing the main events in the history of independent Kazakhstan.
It is no coincidence that the height of the monument reaches 91 meters, because it was in 1991 when the republic gained independence.
The Kazak Eli monument is a symbol of the important values of Kazakhstan.
