Tashkent (in Uzbek transcription – Toshkent) is the capital of Uzbekistan, the largest city in Central Asia, located in the northeastern part of the republic, in the valley of the Chirchik River, at an altitude of 440-480 m. The population is approximately 2.5 million people.
There are numerous museums, monuments of ancient history and culture of Uzbekistan, government institutions, institutions of the National Academy of Sciences.
Almost half of the territory of Tashkent is occupied by parks, gardens and squares. There are entertainment centers with attractions, a zoo, a water park, and the famous botanical garden.
Here you can find noisy oriental bazaars that amaze with an abundance of all kinds of sweets, ripe fruits and fragrant spices, and numerous restaurants, cafes and teahouses offer a dizzying Uzbek dastarkhan.
