Uzbekistan is located in Central Asia between the Amudarya and Syrdarya rivers. Its area is 448.9 thousand km. The length from west to east is 1425 km, from north to south – 930 km.

It has no access to the oceans and is a state that borders only with other countries:

in the north and northeast with Kazakhstan, in the east and southeast with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, in the west with Turkmenistan, in the south with Afghanistan.

The length of the borders is 6221 km.

Two-thirds of the country’s territory is occupied by deserts, steppes and mountains. The lowest point of the country is the Mingbulak depression -12.8 meters, and the highest point is Mount Hazrat Sultan 4643 meters.
