Chorsu Bazaar

The ancient Chorsu bazaar means “four roads” or “four streams”. It is located in the Old Town at the intersection of four shopping streets. All year round, the bazaar impresses with its colorful goods and architectural structure, the breath of antiquity and folk culture. It can be called one of the oldest bazaars in Tashkent, and indeed in the whole of Central Asia, since it was known in the Middle Ages and was of great importance in the trade road of the Great Silk Road.

The modern Chorsu Bazaar has been thoroughly renovated, many new covered rows and shops have been built, but despite this, it still has a truly fascinating view of the real East. The goods in the modern Chorsu Bazaar are divided as follows: 1) products; 2) craft rows; 3) clothing market.

Of particular interest are the first two departments, they are located under large covered pavilions, most of which are crowned with blue eastern-type domes. In the center is the main, largest dome, its size and shape reminiscent of the dome of the circus (which, by the way, is located in the same district of Tashkent).

Around there are numerous rows with fruits and vegetables, household goods.
