Ashgabat Park in Tashkent was built in April 2018 in honor of the friendship of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, therefore it received the same name as the capital of this state. It occupies an area of 12 hectares.
There are two zones formed on it – walking and entertainment. Here is the highest Ferris wheel in the country and the only dolphinarium. The octagonal star and horse, the main symbols of Turkmenistan, are often used in architecture and decorations.
At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a fountain in the form of a star with a herd of stallions, and there is a similar one in the central part, but larger.
The green space is made in the form of a rectangle, which is surrounded by a running and cycling track with shrubs around. On the other side there is an indoor amphitheater with an auditorium.
There is also an area with 60 attractions and slot machines. In addition to the Ferris wheel, there is a large-scale area for karting. Entertainment structures are built for any age: from a steam train for the youngest to a roller coaster for adults. Between them there are shops with fast food and souvenirs. Artificial lighting turns on in the evening. A parking lot for hundreds of cars adjoins the square.
