The workshop-museum of Bukhara made of paper-mache dolls was founded by Iskander Khakimov. It contains documents and photographs on the history of dolls of Uzbekistan.
Museum visitors can see their favorite heroes of Oriental fairy tales and legends, such as Ali Baba, the Emir of Bukhara and his guards, Aladdin with his lamp and Uzbek beauties.
In the museum you can not only get acquainted with the history of dolls, but also see the workshop of the founder I. Khakimov, in which he enthusiastically works on creating new exhibits of the collection.
Khakimov’s dolls are shown at national and international exhibitions and festivals, and are purchased by tourists from various countries.
