Alisher Navoi Park is one of the largest parks in the country. The area of the park covers 65 hectares and includes an artificial lake in which it is allowed to ride a boat and swim in the summer. Here you can find many attractions, cafes, restaurants, as well as a number of buildings for various purposes: the Parliament of Uzbekistan, the Wedding Palace, a concert hall, a medieval Abylkasym madrasah and art gallery.
In the center of the park on a hill stands a majestic sculpture of Alisher Navoi, the great Uzbek poet. Initially, the park was built by Komsomol members in 1932 and was called the Central Park of Culture and Leisure named after Lenin Komsomol.
