The Military Historical Museum was established in 1993 and is part of the Almaty State Historical and Architectural Reserve.
In the museum’s collection there are samples of military equipment, military vehicles, mock ups of missiles, military boats, tanks and rare samples of techniques available in a single copy.
Among the exhibits you will find collections telling about the military history of Kazakhstan, about participation in the Great Patriotic War and the history of the development of military equipment of Kazakhstan. There are about 122 armed vehicles in total.
The building in which the museum is now located was declared an architectural monument of national significance in 1991.
