Burkhan Bulak

Burkhan Bulak is considered the highest waterfall in Kazakhstan.

It is located at an altitude of 2000 meters, consists of four cascades, their total height is 168 m. The fourth cascade can be seen only by climbing up along the trails. Burkhan Bulak is located 400 km from the city of Almaty, in the mountains of the Dzungarian Alatau, about 6 kilometers from the Chinese border.

The waterfall flows down a narrow channel between the rocks, merges into a natural pool at the foot and then merges with the majestic Kora River.

Burkhan Bulak is beautiful at any time of the year, but it is advisable to visit it in July, when the active melting of glaciers begins. But even in winter, the waterfall attracts with its beauty, the waterfall freezes completely and is an incredible sight.

The Korinsky Gorge itself, in which the waterfall is located, is famous for a huge variety of flora and fauna. Here you can see fir trees, Asian juniper, in total there are more than 3000 names. No wonder this place is considered a natural herbal medicine.
