Azret Sultan Museum

Azret Sultan Museum is a complex of archaeological monuments founded in 1978.

The Museum Reserve is part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage and is considered the main attraction of Turkestan.

The total area of the protected zone is more than 500 hectares. On its territory there are several museums, the Kultobe settlement, the Sufi center with the Hilvet underground mosque, the Aulie Kumshyk Ata underground mosque, the eastern bath, the medieval citadel and Shahristan, fragments of the fortress and the ruins of the mausoleums Alkhoja ata and Gauhar Ana and much more. In general, there are more than 100 monuments of history and archeology, 13,800 exhibits, and the library with more than 5,000 books.

Nowadays, the Azret Sultan Museum is considered one of the most visited places in Kazakhstan.
