Ak Meshit cave is one of the largest caves in Central Asia and is considered a sacred place.
It is located in the Karatau mountains in the vicinity of the village of Kenestobe, Turkestan region. The name Ak Meshit means “White Mosque” in Kazakh language.
The length of the Ak meshit cave is 150 meters, the width is 65 m and the height is about 25 meters. The temperature in the cave, regardless of the season, always varies from 18-20 degrees.
Because of the mulberry trees growing in the cave, it seems that you are in the forest. In what century and under what circumstances the cave was formed, there is no information, but scientists assume that it was formed as a result of an earthquake.
Nowadays it is visited by hundreds of tourists from different countries and pilgrims.
