The Mausoleum of Sultan Tekesh is an impressive historical structure located in Kunya Urgench. This mausoleum was built in honor of Sultan Tekesh, the ruler of the Khwarezm Empire, which flourished in the 12th and early 13th centuries. Tekesh, also known as Sultan Ala ad-Din Tekesh, reigned from 1172 to 1200 CE and was an important figure in the expansion and strengthening of the Khwarezm Empire during the medieval period.
