At a distance of 40 km from the urban settlement Cholpon Ata, is located the Semenovskoye Gorge. Its length is 30 km. The mountain river Ak Suu, starting from a glacier, flows through the gorge. The gorge is rich in spruce forests and fragrant herbs. The beauty of local landscapes is breathtaking.
The gorge is famous for many interesting sights. There are magnificent waterfalls and the famous lake Suttu Bulak, the water in which is crystal clear and sky-turquoise. Getting to these points of the gorge is not easy, but the efforts will be more than justified.
Also in the district, there is a tourist base. It was founded back in the days of the Soviet Union, but athletes who come to planned training camps are still accepted here.
