Kyzyl Kiya

Kyzyl Kiya is a town located in the north-east of the Batken region. This village is located 150 km from the administrative centre. The population of Kyzyl Kiya exceeds 43 thousand inhabitants.

During the Soviet Union, the town was considered one of the largest industrial settlements in this area. For this reason, the infrastructure is excellently developed here to this day. A distinctive feature of Kyzyl Kiya is its purely urban appearance.

Osh – Fergana and Osh – Sulukta routes pass through the town.

Rail traffic is also developed here. Railways connect Kyrgyzstan with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Kyzyl Kiya also boasts the presence of its own, albeit small, airport.
