Issyk Kul Reserve

Issyk-Kul Reserve is one of the largest reserves located in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The reserve area is more than 19,500 hectares and consists of 12 separate plots.

Issyk-Kul State Reserve was founded in 1948 with the main aim of preserving aquatic complexes of Issyk-Kul lake.
The main task is the protection of the biosphere zone waterfowl such as the swan, mallard, gray goose, and many others.

Under the protection of the reserve, there are more than 10 species of birds and 13 species of insects that were listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan. Here tourists can enjoy not only the beauty of nature but also observe the interesting flora of this area.
