Issyk Ata Gorge

This landmark of Kyrgyzstan is 77 km from the capital city. The vicinity of the gorge is rich in many healing springs with geothermal and mineral water. On this territory, there is an active resort area, in which for the healing procedures they use the local water, which has healing power.

The amazing properties of the sources have been known since ancient times. Proof of this is the drawing of the Buddha Healer, carved in stone. The image, according to scientists, was made in the period from 2 to 7 centuries.

Issyk Ata is surrounded by majestic mountain ranges. Here, a little higher is the alpine meadow zone. Mountain streams move along the bottom of the gorge in various directions. On its territory, there are small in size, but beautiful waterfalls.
