Lake Merzbakher

Lake Merzbakher arose at the confluence of two huge Asian glaciers in the upper reaches of the Inylchek River – Northern and Southern Inylchek in Kyrgyzstan, near the border with China.

The age of the ice is unknown, but it is apparently significant because it has not been renewed, at least since the discovery of the lake by the German geographer Merzbacher in 1902. Upon reaching the lake you can admire the beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountains, Khan Tengri peaks and Victory
