Festivals of Kyrgyzstan

Festivals in Kyrgyzstan reflect the rich history and nomadic traditions of the Kyrgyz people. This is a celebration of centuries of culture with traditional sports competitions, various fairs and shows.

Today, Kyrgyz festivals are the best way to preserve ancient traditions. During holidays they are attended not only by local population, but also by guests from all over the world. The most popular festivals are festivals dedicated to crafts, cuisine, folklore, felt, bird hunting, and horse games. Many Kyrgyz festivals are held on summer pastures (jailoo), where whole yurt camps are set up.

Festivals in Kyrgyzstan are one of the best places for those who want to imbue Kyrgyz traditions and customs.
