Since independence, hundreds and thousands of non-governmental organizations have been operating in Kyrgyzstan, whose contribution to the development of the country and civil society is difficult to overestimate. Their activities have spread to various areas of the functioning of the state: the economic sector, education, healthcare, tourism and many others. Today, the activities of NGOs in Kyrgyzstan are an integral part of a large mechanism called the State. To date, about 12,000 NGOs have been registered in the unified register of legal entities of the Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic. It has been revealed that more than 3,000 organizations are active. Every year, NGOs attract about 36,000 volunteers. To a certain extent, NGOs are intermediaries between the state and civil society, because by joining forces, more can be achieved.

Helvetas is an independent organization established in Switzerland that provides support to poor and disadvantaged women and men in about thirty developing countries. Helvetas solves global problems at different levels. This organization has been operating in Kyrgyzstan since 1994 and over the past thirty years, many projects have been implemented to support the social and economic development of the country. One of the successful projects of Helvetas is “Sustainable tourism contributes to the development of the vital activity of the population”

The Peace Corps is an independent federal agency of the U.S. government, whose program is aimed at teaching English as a foreign language. Peace Corps volunteers work in Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of an agreement.
The Karakol Destination is a NGO local organization whose activities are the development of the tourism industry in the city, benefiting the local population. In 2016, the destination clearly formulated its mission in creating a tourist destination and united not only the Karakol city, but its surroundings. The Karakol destination is aimed at sustainable, tourist, competitive, cultural development, as the best place for tourists stay. Karakol is included in the list of the Top 100 successful sustainable destinations in the prestigious international Green Destinations 2023 competition.

The Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions Public Foundation (FSDS) is a regional non–profit organization based in Kyrgyzstan. The organization works for an inclusive society and equitable economic development in the region. One of the projects is the “Tourism Development”.
The Kyrgyz–Japanese Center for Human Development – the advantages of this organization is a platform that unites organizations and citizens of the two countries. KRJC was opened in 1995 and since then has been conducting various courses for many years: business management; Japanese language studies; programs to expand and strengthen friendships.
