Day 1. Airoport - Tashkent

Flight from homeland to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Arrival in Tashkent.

Welcome by the driver at Tashkent International Airport. Transfer (check-in at/ after 14:00) to hotel.

Free day. Overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast

Starting the sightseeing at the capital city.

Capital has wide avenues, green alleys, fountains and eco-parks for leisurely walks. Tashkent is divided into two parts old and new city. We visit the old city in the morning where you can see Islamic Complex spiritual heart of Tashkent for centuries.

After having lunch, we discover the new city where you will spot modern and Soviet-era architecture: Khast Imam Complex, the spiritual heart of Tashkent (16-20centuary), Barak Khan madrasah with the oldest extant copies of the Quran, Chorsu bazaar, one of the busiest bazaars in Tashkent

We also take a ride at the metro soviet and modern designed underground. We visit Amir Temur Square and Independence square, a favorite resting place for residents.

Day 3. Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva (domestic flight)

Sightseeing starts by entering the Ata gates at Itchan Kala.

The historical complex Ichan-Kala (‘inner defense circle’) is an almost intact medieval old town area in Khiva. It was the first site in Central Asia to be included in UNESCO World Heritage List. It consists of 300 traditional buildings and about 50 architectural monuments. There are defensive towers standing every 30 meters along the wall.

We visit Juma Mosque, Kunya Ark fortress, an ancient Khiva rules residence and citadel, Kalta Minor, the unfinished minaret clad in turquoise tiles, Mohammed Amin Khan Madrasah which was built in 1851 now it’s a hotel, Tash-Kauli Palace, a harem built in 1832-1841.

Lunchtime break.

After we continue our city tour: we visit the Mausoleum of Pahlavan Mahmud, the Mausoleum of Sayid Allauddin, the Madrasah of Islam-Khodja, the Madrasah of AllaKuli Khan.

Day 4. Khiva – Bukhara (via Kyzilkym desert)

Take the morning train to Bukhara.

Bukhara is Islamic center of Central Asia. There are more than 350 mosques and 100 religious colleges. Bukhara with more than 140 architectural monuments is a “town museum”.

We visit Ismail Samani mausoleum, the oldest buildings ( 10th century), Chashma Ayub mausoleum also known as the Museum of Water, Bolo-Hauz mosque built in 1712, Ark Fortress where king khans use to live, Poi-Kalyan complex ( madrasah, mosque, minaret), Ulug Beg Madrasah, one of the first madrasas built in 1417, and Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah.

Lunchtime. Then we visit Tim Abdullah Khan, an old  trading Dome, Magok-I Attari Mosque, the oldest building in Bukhara (12th century) and Lyabi-Hauz, locals’ favorite place to come and spent time.

Day 6. Bukhara – Samarkand (drive)

After we continue to explore Bukhara by visiting such places as Chor Minor Mosque and Naqshbandi Complex.

Lunchtime. Then we visit Sitora-i-Mokhi-Khosa Palace, summer residence of  Bukharas Emir, and Chor-Bakr Complex, an ancient cemetery equal to 3 hectares.

Take evening drive  to Samarkand.

Overnight at the hotel. Dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 7. Samarkand

Samarkand witnessed conquerors that brought bloody wars, but it resisted and rose, and it became more beautiful and strong through the ages. Undoubtedly, Samarkand reached the highest level of glory when it became the capital of the Tamerlane Empire. Enjoy visiting an old city where places are full of mysteries, filling every corner of every building.

We start the sightseeing from the heart of the old city: Guri Amir Mausoleum of the Timurid  Dynasty, Registan square with its three madrasahs Ulugbek madrasah, Sherdor madrasah, and Tilla-Kori madrasah.

After lunch, we go to Bibi Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar, and Shahi Zinda Complex.

Overnight at the hotel. Dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 8. Samarkand - Tashkent (train)

Places to visit: Ulugbek observatory, an old center of astronomical study in central Asia, and Mausoleum of Hodja Daniyar, the place where three world religions will come to visit Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.

Lunch break. Then we visit Konigil village’s ancient paper factory built at the beginning of the 8th century.

Take the evening train to Tashkent.
