Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival – Bishkek
Day 1. Arrival – Bishkek

Arrival to Manas Airport in Bishkek. Transfer to the capital. Standard check-in at hotel after 14:00. Today, you will have the day to yourself to explore the city.

You can visit the heart of the city, Ala- Too Square. After you can enjoy a walk in the Oak Park, one of the favorite places of local people. Bishkek is known as the greenest city in Central Asia
thanks to its countless parks and alleys making the city a great place to live.
After lunch, you will have time to visit the local market Osh bazar.

Here you can appreciate the creativity and talent of local artisans. Just as you step the market, you plunge into the realoriental atmosphere: an interminable stream of people, a big variety of goods and colors.

Note: it is highly recommended to book an extra night at the hotel, as most flights to Bishkek

Day 2. Bishkek – Burana – Chon Kemin

Breakfast in the hotel. You pick up the car from the office (open from 09:00 a.m.) and start your self-drive tour.
You will move to explore eastern part of Kyrgyzstan and your first destination is Chon Kemin valley.
On route to the gorge you will visit Burana Tower (an 11th century minaret) and an open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). After an interesting excursion is transfer to Chon Kemin gorge.
Upon your arrival in Chon Kemin you will be able to discover the untouched natural beauty of the valley.
Chon Kemin is a beautiful place for the travelers. You will stay in the comfortable guesthouse at the altitude of 1500 meters. You can also explore more about the lifestyle of the local people.

Day 3. Chon Kemin – Son Kol

Then you head to the Son Kol lake (3016m) – the quietest place of Kyrgyz land.
Son Kol lake is the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan, with an area of 278 square kilometers. It is situated in a valley between two mountain ranges at an altitude of 3016 m.
The depth of the Son-Kol lake reaches 14 m. The lake is inhabited by 10 species of fish, and on its banks, you can see up to 70 species of birds, including waterfowl.
Water of Son-Kol is extremely transparent, and it should be noted that it can change its color – from blue sky on a clear day, to purple on a cloudy day.
Upon arrival at a camp at the lake, get to know the hospitality of the nomads, their lifestyle and their customs.

Day 4. Son Kol – Kochkor – Bokonbaevo

Breakfast in the yurt.
Let’s get moving in the direction of Bokonbaevo village.
On the way you stop in Kochkor for lunch at the local restaurant.
Then you take the road to the small village of Bokonbaevo on the south shore of Issy Kol lake, which is the heart of ecotourism.

It is here that the main national festivals of equestrian games, falconry and yurt festivals are held.

Day 5. Bokonbaevo – Skazka – Jety Oguz – Karakol

Breakfast at the guesthouse.
Then you continue your road along the south shore of the Issyk Kol lake and drive to Karakol city.
On the way to Karakol city you stop at Skazka canyons that means Fairytale. This local landmark got its name because of the winding and amazing mountain landscape.

For many years, the wind-sculpted bizarre figures from the rocks, similar to the sculptures of mythical, fairy-tale heroes, which now so fascinate travelers.
After you turn to Jety Oguz gorge. The name of the gorge is symbolic and means “seven bulls” in Kyrgyz because there are seven giant red-brown rocks resembling furious bulls standing together.

You can take a walk here and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
You arrive in Karakol city in the evening for overnight.

Day 6. Karakol – Bishkek

Early breakfast at the hotel, then departure to Bishkek city.

Before leaving Karakol you can visit famous sights of Karakol – Dungan Mosque and Orthodoxe Cathedral.
You arrive in Bishkek in the afternoon.
Today you return the car until 18:00.

Day 7. Bishkek – Airport – Departure

Transfer to the airport. Departure.
