Itinerary

Day 1. Airport – Bishkek (ca. 30 km, 40 min)

We will pick you up at the airport/border point and drop you off at the comfortable hotel where you can have a rest.

After rest and breakfast, the visit of the city Bishkek is planned. We will visit sights such as the central square Ala-Too with its monuments and Oak Park.

After lunch at the local restaurant, we visit the famous market, Osh bazar. Just as you step the market, you plunge into the real oriental atmosphere: an interminable stream of people, a big variety of goods and colors.

Dinner in the traditional restaurant where you can taste the national Kyrgyz cuisine.

Day 2. Bishkek – Suusamyr – Kyzyl Oy (ca. 155 km, 3h of transfer) (Cycling)

In the morning after breakfast, we leave the capital for the valley of Suusamyr. We take the road that goes to the south.

Leaving Chuy valley, we overcome the beautiful pass Too Ashuu and we arrive at Suusamyr valley. As soon as you cross the pass, you leave the most developed part of Kyrgyzstan and you will be taken by the virgin land of the nomads.

We descend from the pass into the valley and we turn left by changing the highway to the off-road. From the village Suusamyr, you continue your journey riding the bicycles. Cycling along the Kokomeren River.

We set up our tents at the riverbank not far from Kyzyl Oy village.

Day 3. Kyzyl Oy – Kara Keche – Son Kul (ca. 100km, 2h of transfer) (Cycling)

After breakfast, the road from Kyzyl Oy village leads to Son Kul Lake.

The goal of this day is to reach the lake and for that, it is necessary to overcome the mountain pass near the coal mine Kara Keche of 3400 meters.

Picnic on the road. From the pass, you take the bikes and you will go down to the lake by bike.

Arrival on the south shore of Son Kul Lake where you get to know the culture and life of the Kyrgyz nomadic people. You enjoy national cuisine and sleep under a traditional Kyrgyz yurt.

Dinner in the yurt camp.

Cycling: 30-40 km (off-road, – 400 m)

* To note: 6 people per yurt. But in the low season, you can be accommodated 2 people per yurt depending on availability. Toilets are outside. No shower in the camp.

You leave the yurt camp by bike along the shore of the lake. You can enjoy beautiful views of the lake while breathing the pure mountain air.

Cycling: 40-50 km (off-road, slight slopes)

Unforgettable morning with fresh air and a beautiful view of the lake surrounded by mountain ranges.

After breakfast in the yurt, you take back the bikes and you go up to the Moldo Ashuu pass of 3350 meters of altitude. You go down by bike and head for the city of Naryn. When you join the main road you get in the car and continue by car.

Lunch in Naryn. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Cycling: 40 km (off-road, +350 m, -1100 m)

Day 6. Naryn – Kyzyl Tuu – Ak Say (ca. 230 km, 3h)

After breakfast, we drive to Issyk Kul Lake, the pearl of Kyrgyzstan. On the road, we have lunch in the restaurant.

Then we go towards the Ak Say canyons. Going through the south shore of the lake, we will visit the village of Kyzyl Tuu, whose inhabitants are involved in the manufacture of yurts (option).

Then we go to the canyons. Arriving on the wild beach we set up our tents.

You can swim in the lake and relax.

In the evening, enjoy the sunset on the lake during dinner on the shore of the lake.

Day 7. Ak Say – Salt Lake – Ak Say (Cycling)

After breakfast, you head towards the small Salt Lake which is 10 km from the tent camp. The route is flat without a lot of elevation change.

You can swim in this small lake that remembers the Dead Sea. This lake is salty and the result of the lowering of Issyk Kul Lake. Sludge from the lake is used to treat skin problems.

You return by the same route.

By returning to the camp you can climb to the panoramic point from which opens a beautiful view of the canyons and the lake.

Day 8. Ak Say – Bokonbaevo – Skazka – Tamga (ca. 80 km, 1-2h)

Breakfast. Departure.

On the way, we visit the village Bokonbaevo where you meet a real eagle hunter with his birds of prey (option).

Then you go to the Skazka canyon which is translated as the Fairy tale. Here you can find objects of surprising shapes and sizes. A real skyscraper or an animal can appear in front of you. You walk there for one hour.

Dinner and overnight in the guest house of a Russian family.

You will have the opportunity to take a shower or enjoy the real Russian sauna.

Day 9. Tamga – Jety Oguz – Karakol (ca. 150 km, 2h)

Breakfast in the guesthouse.

The red rock Broken Heart located at the entrance to the gorge creates a special romantic ambiance in the gorge. You take a walk there for an hour.

Picnic in the gorge is planned or lunch in the yurt.

Upon arrival to Karakol, you visit its famous sights as the Orthodox Church dedicated to The Holy Trinity and the Dungan Mosque.

For dinner in the restaurant, you will have the opportunity to taste the most popular dish in this region “ashlan fu”, the traditional cuisine of Dungan ethnicity.

Day 10. Karakol – gorges Grigorievskoe and Semienovskoe – Chon Kemin (ca. 300 km, 4 h of transfer) (Cycling)

After breakfast, we leave Karakol for Grigorievskoe and Semienovskoe Gorge.

They are located on the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake, the pearl of Kyrgyzstan. These places are considered as the most famous attractions of the region. You can go for a walk, enjoy the wilderness around you and spend a pleasant time in this beautiful place.

Picnic for lunch. Then you go by bike down to the village.

In the evening, we arrive at Chon Kemin valley. It is a unique national park in Kyrgyzstan thanks to its beauty and rich diversity of animals and plants. The incredible landscapes strike the imagination.

Dinner and overnight in the guesthouse.

Day 11. Chon Kemin – Burana – Bishkek (ca. 200 km, 3h)

Breakfast in the guesthouse. Back to Bishkek.

On the road, we visit the Burana Tower. The Burana Tower is an ancient minaret in the Chuy Valley in the north part of Kyrgyzstan. The tower with funerary monuments, earthworks, remains of the castle and three mausoleums – it’s all that last out of the ancient Balasagyn town that was founded by Karakhanids at the end of the ninth century.

After lunch, we will have time to visit the local market.

In the evening the farewell dinner is planned.

Day 12. Bishkek – Airport – Departure (ca. 30 km, 40 min)
