T14. Winter Kyrgyzstan

Route of program day by day: 
Day 1. Airport – Bishkek
Arrival to Manas Airport in Bishkek where our team will pick up you and drive you to hotel situated in the capital. After breakfast in hotel, we start our city tour in Bishkek. We will visit the heart of the city, Ala-Too Square where the State Historical Museum is located. After the tour in the museum, we can enjoy a walk in the Oak Park, one of the favorite places of local people. Bishkek is known as the greenest city in Central Asia thanks to its countless parks and alleys making the city a great place to live. After lunch, we will have time to visit the local market Osh bazar. Here you can appreciate the creativity and talent of local artisans. Just as you step the market, you plunge into the real oriental atmosphere: an interminable stream of people, a big variety of goods and colors. In the evening, we go to one of the best restaurants in Bishkek where you can taste delicious Kyrgyz national dishes.

Day 2. Bishkek – Ala Archa – Bishkek
After breakfast in Bishkek, we go to the National Park of Ala Archa situated at 30 km from the capital. One hour later, you get a picturesque valley with a mountain river Ala Archa. You will have the opportunity to walk in the gorge and enjoy the beautiful alpine views. The scenery of Ala Archa is a wild mountain nature with over 50 peaks. The park has everything that you might expect of an alpine zone - snow peaks, fast-flowing streams, alpine meadows and pine forest, that’s all creates a perfect place to have a rest and relax. You can also enjoy a lunch in the fresh air. Return back to Bishkek.

Day 3. Bishkek – Burana - Cholpon-Ata
Our journey begins with a visit of the Burana Tower. The Burana Tower is an ancient minaret in the Chuy Valley in the north part of Kyrgyzstan. The tower with funerary monuments, earthworks, remains of the castle and three mausoleums – that’s all what last out of the ancient Balasagyn town that was founded by Karakhanids at the end of the ninth century. In Cholpon-Ata, we will discover the cultural and historical complex Ruh Ordo, a spiritual place and monument for 4 main religions of the world.

Day 4. Cholpon Ata – Village Oruktu – Karakol
After breakfast, departure to Oruktu village. He we will try the hot springs. It is believed that they have healing properties. Lunch along the road. In Karakol, you will visit its famous sights as Russian Orthodox cathedral and Dungan mosque in Chinese style. In the evening we will visit the Doungan family and stay with them for a dinner to taste the most famous dish of this town, ashlan-fu. You can make your own ashlan-fu under the guidance of the mistress of the house.

Day 5. Skiing in the mountains of Karakol
Today is a ski-day! After breakfast, transfer to Karakol ski base. Karakol Ski Base is at 3040 meters, this is the highest ski resort in Central Asia. It is located on slopes of mountains Tien-Shan. There are all chairlifts and rope lifts take you to some of the best runs. The base is located in the picturesque place, surrounded with coniferous wood. You can ski all day and in the evening, transfer to Karakol.

Day 6. Karakol – Canyon Skazka - Bokonbaevo
In the morning, we visit the Skazka canyons, which signify Fairytale. Here you can find objects of surprising shapes and sizes. A real skyscraper or an animal may appear in front of you. In Bokonbaevo you will meet the eagle hunter with his bird of prey. We can also ride horses and enjoy the amazing winter landscapes around us.

Day 7. Bokonbaevo - Bishkek
We return to Bishkek along the snowy roads. The road to the capital passes through the Boom gorge. In Bishkek, we will have time to visit the local market and buy some presents. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at traditional Kyrgyz restaurant.

Day 8. Bishkek – Airport- Departure
