According to legend, in the pages of the history of the Osh city sealed long march of King Solomon (X century BC) and the Greek general Alexander the Great (IV century BC), as well as the life of a representative of the Timurid dynasty, conqueror Babur (XV- the XVI century).
In the city there are monuments and sights of different epochs, mosques and madrassas. In the center of the southern capital is located the famous Mount Sulaiman-Too and the eponymous historical and cultural complex, which is visited daily by thousands of pilgrims and tourists. It is widely known and a huge urban open-air market, where you can feel the incredible spirit of the Asian trade and national craftsmanship.
From the city of Osh roads leading to another big citys Alpine trail in the Pamirs, Pamir-Alai road to Kashgar, Osh-Bishkek highway. Near the town is an international airport.
