The tour starts in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s “southern capital”. You’ll discover the main attractions of Almaty, from the Zenkov Cathedral, one of the most magnificent architectural monuments in the city, to to Kok Tobe, the highest point in the city.
One of our first stops will be Altyn Emel National Park with its “singing” dune. The park, created in April 1996, surprises with its diversity and pristine landscapes, richness of fauna and flora. We visit the Aktau and Katutau Mountains, located in the southeast of the Altyn-Emel. The remains of ancient animals (crocodiles, turtles, giant rhinos, primitive predators) have been preserved here, the age of which is estimated at 25-30 million years.
