Lake Teshik-Kul is located about 38 km away from the village Bokonbaevo in the mountains Terskey Ala-Too. It is located at the end of Karakaman valley at an altitude of 3500 m. Teshik-Kul is actually divided into two parts, which are connected by a scenic waterfall.
You can reach the lake through the pass Zhalpak-Bel (3300 m.) from the west, or through Ton pass (4020 m.) from the east.
Near the lake is hot springs where you can dive with health benefits. On the way to the lake you will meet local nomadic herders, who will offer you to taste the national drink of mare's milk kumiss.
