Gorge Chunkurchak

A small gorge Chunkurchak located at the source of the river Alamedin, 45 km from Bishkek.

National Biosphere Reserve is formed on the territory of the gorge and is designed to save from extinction rare species of tulips.

It was here where grows a majestic and beautiful Royal Tulip, reaching 17 cm in height! In the gorge is famous forty meters Pigeon Falls, where the water flows down the steps from the sharp rocks.
Existence of rocky mountains height of 100-200 meters into the gorge Chonkurchak makes it attractive for those peoples who like climbing and mountaineering, so it has been often a hosts for competitions in these kinds of sports.
